In the magnetic head together with the electromagnet is also a sensor that senses the magnetic field created by ordinary magnets inside the globe. The microprocessor calculates on this basis the distance between the globe and the magnetic head. The microprocessor adjusts the electromagnets at the top and bottom so that the globe ends up in the middle. The processor performs about 16,000 control calculations per second.
