After connection, upload custom firmware to your development board to operate the module. Overview: The trackball module is based on the Blackberry trackball mechanism. It detects motion in X and Y directions using roller movement. Rotating shafts contain multi-pole magnetized magnets that interact with SMD Hall effect sensors to determine movement direction and magnitude. A small SMD switch is integrated beneath the trackball for click functionality.
