Ensure secure connections to prevent gas leakage. 3. Tighten the M8 thermocouple nut onto the valve’s thermocouple port. (Verify that the valve’s thermocouple port has an 8 mm thread before purchase.) 4. Ensure proper connection between the thermocouple and the valve’s threaded port. 5. Turn the knob to open the gas flow, then press and hold the valve for 5–10 seconds to heat the thermocouple tip. 6. Release the valve.
